And you can get it by going to ewebresults.com and right there on our webpage, you will find it. As soon as you land there, as a matter of fact, you should see a whole new site from those who may have visited maybe three weeks ago. Yeah. So, check it out. The free web analysis should really be the first thing you see. I was on the phone. I showed it to somebody new and he was like, wow, this is a sexy website. And we're like, yeah, yeah. That's what we do. Hey, I've got a little bit of news. WordPress turns on SSL for all WordPress.com sites. So, that's not your WordPress, you know, you use WordPress and install. WordPress.com hosted site. Yeah. Yep. Just another sign of, you know, everybody's shifting to all this encryption. In fact, I didn't even tie that into... It didn't dawn on me until just now. WhatsApp is now doing encrypted. So, WhatsApp, a lot of people use it. Some people use it. Communication-based. Anytime my wife wants pictures off of my phone, she, like, grabs my phone and WhatsApps to her. And then she puts it on Facebook and all that stuff. Speaking of my wife, who's from Panama, Panama Papers, right, since our last podcast, that's come out. That's pretty, pretty amazing. Some of the stats on it, that's like one point something terabytes of information. Of data, yeah. And, like,
the most of the WikiLeaks and Snowden... On a whole nother level. Yeah. It's like a thousand times bigger leak. A whole lot more is probably going to come out of that. Pretty interesting. And, of course, Tesla this week announced their new $35,000 version. That's kind of exciting. $35,000 of the Tesla? Yeah. Yeah. That's the... What's a $35,000 of Tesla, though? It's a nice-looking car. It's a nice-looking car. And it still is supposed to drive itself. Right? So, it's kind of... I guess maybe it's like... You know that was his whole plan. His whole plan was to bring an electric car to the masses. But in order to do it, he felt he had to... And it's working. To start with very high-end cars where he could have significantly more profit margin to ensure the company survived. And then as that's going on, I don't know what the number is. Somebody said he got like $200 million of pre-order because the pre-order was $1,000. And so, now he's got to deliver them like two years ago. I'm just saying, dude. If I got a Tesla, I want mine to cost over $100,000. It's got to be... Yeah. So, what if you've got a $35,000 Tesla that drives itself? It's... It's still not that Tesla. Yeah. Oh, if I trust it. So, that's interesting, right? Because that's kind of like the division that Toyota and Lexus have made. Yeah, yeah. And Nissan and... I totally get Nissan and Infiniti. Infiniti, yeah. And Toyota and Lexus. You know, they've all kind of done that. Yeah. Interesting. All right. So, oh, and Acura and Honda would be the other one. That's the news that I got. Do you have any news? I do have some news. To reviews? My news is a little bit more social-focused. So, you've been seeing a lot of Facebook Live activity. Right. Right? Like, I think... I haven't, but... You haven't? I've been seeing it. I've got tons of my friends on Facebook have been Facebooking Live all the time, randomly. Matter of fact,
we may even try that next week. Instead of Periscope, we'll try Facebook. Right? So, they launched it a week, two weeks ago. Right. And when they launched it, they saw so much engagement with it that they had to switch focus. And so, they just gave Facebook Live streaming a major update. Facebook is introducing a video portal for Live, so now that it's easier to get users to find interesting content. One of the biggest problems with Facebook's video effort was difficulty in finding videos if they don't happen to pop up in your news feed. Right. So, the new portal on mobile app will aggregate broadly popular videos, videos by people in your network, and videos that match your interest. Alternatively, users will be able to look at a real map on a desktop version and click locations where live video is happening. It's interesting because what's holding it back is the thing that people theorized made Facebook unique and kind of explode into the marketplace, which is that you could select the people you interacted with. But MySpace was not that way, and Facebook was, and so then it exploded. And now that they've got this, they're like, yeah, but I don't just want to see videos of my, most of my friends are probably not that good on video. Exactly. I want to see what else is interesting. So, I think that's why they made it a portal. Yeah. So, they don't force it to you. Right. You can still get your regular stuff, but you can go to the portal if you want to see some other stuff. So, staying on social and on video, right, Instagram extends videos from 15 to 60 seconds. Now, I didn't see when that was made effective because on my Instagram, I'm still limited. So, I don't know if this is a gradual rollout. Also, you need to get an upgrade in the app or something, yeah. Maybe so. Right. Maybe so. But they said they announced it will be extending the standard 15-second length for videos to
full 60 seconds. It's doing so to bring you fun, flexible, and creative ways to watch video on Instagram. Yeah. Stick it with video. Twitter. Yeah. Punch in the face to the guys at Twitter. This is a huge move. This is a power play. I'm punching you in the face. I don't even know why because you haven't told me yet. So, Twitter to stream NFL Thursday Night Football this fall. Oh, wow. So, a report from Bloomberg indicated that Twitter beat out other major competitors for streaming rights including Verizon, Yahoo, Amazon, and Facebook. What's more is Twitter reportedly paid less for the rights than the others were offering? Yeah. Duh. Like, I mean, we've had conversation in our last podcast, because I went back and listened to it, where we were talking about when we recognized Twitter would be huge. And for you, it was when on the NFL announcers, they didn't even talk about their name. They list their Twitter handle, right? They're not listing their Amazon code. Handle. Exactly. It's their Twitter handle. And so, they could engage even more during the live stream. I think it's a brilliant idea for the NFL to get more millennial fans and more users and to get their streams up for Thursday Night Football. Phenomenal idea. Punch in the face to the NFL for being, you know, forward-thinking. Yeah. And for Twitter to just be in position to take advantage of it. That's what's up. That's my news. That's cool. We do have a review. This review is from David Christensen. Oh, what's that? It's a short review. Yeah. Punch in the face to David. Boom. The review is on Facebook, and it is five stars. And it says, E-Web Results is my best and most trusted provider of SEO information. Best and most trusted. Punch in the face to you, David. We appreciate it. It's a short one, and it was enough to get rid of my tattoo. I love it. That's Twitter worthy. Best and most trusted. I'll take both of those. Absolutely. All right. So,
that is the potatoes of the podcast time. I got a patiff. I got a patiff. Oh, wait. We got a couple of patiffs. All right. Well, I got one. This patiff goes to, on Twitter, they hit us up, Pet Portrait Artists, at Art Pet Portraits. They say, at SEO Podcast 217. That should have been a hashtag, but we'll let you ride this time. At E-Web Results, at E-Web Style. Podcast 217 is so funny, you guys make me laugh. It's cold in Houston. Burr. So, I'm assuming it must have been cold that day. Well, it was probably cold. Cold in Houston. Yeah, Houston cold. Yeah, it's just so funny. Are you kidding me? Exactly. So, appreciate you tuning in. Thank you for listening. Yep. Appreciate your support. Listeners across the country and around the world, across the globe, into the galaxy. Yeah. I'm never going to say that again, I don't think. All right. So, that is the potatoes or potatoes of our podcast. It's time to get into the meat or the met. So, like we said, punch in the face to get Aaron Aguis. He posted this article on Search Engine Journal called 15 Unexpected Ways to Use Content to Drive Results. 15 Unexpected Ways to Use Content to Drive Results. We all know how important content is. We know how important content is in relation to search engine ranking and user engagement and things like that. So, let's dig in and kind of see what he talks about. He starts off by saying, in many cases, smart analysis can track success of your content pieces. But other times, results come from the underlying momentum you've been building up for months. And he's right. Like, the work you do now will affect how your site is in the next few months, whether it's positive or negative. And this is something we've always told people, even clients who may leave at a certain point. Look, if you don't continue to add content consistently, if you don't continue to add new social posts, if you don't
continue to build links and have high-quality images, then over time, guess what? Your ranking will drop. Same thing with this content here. You have to continuously do things. You may write that long-form article today and post it next week, and it may not get the kind of traction you want this month. But 60 days from now, 90 days from now, four months from now, it will likely be viral, get a lot of engagement. And so, don't look for the home run win with your first post. Understand that you have to build up momentum, and sometimes that takes time. So, let's get into this article. Number one, he says, become a hub of knowledge through in-depth content. A hub of knowledge through in-depth content. And when you think in-depth content, you think of these long-form, you know, 1,500-plus words, articles that really go in detail or in-depth, right, about whatever the content piece is. He goes on to say, it goes deep into a subject and provides the reader with numerous examples, stats, and research. Create this type of content. He's absolutely right. I'll say this, if your company specializes in a certain field, then you should really have in-depth content about that is that you specialize in. If you just, if you don't really specialize in nothing, maybe you're just providing e-commerce or whatever, then long-form content, in-depth content, long pages may not be for you. But if you specialize in a specific topic, it's in your best interest to create at least one article about what you specialize in, long-form, with plenty of data, with plenty of research, with plenty of images. Graphs. Graphs and charts and all that to show yourself as the expert. I like pie graphs. I like pie graphs. Pie graphs. Apple-flavored pie graphs. Let's see here. Number two, he says, reach customers on a personal level with audio. That's kind of what we're doing to y'all right now, who will be listening to this shortly. He said, think about it. Who do you normally go to the gym or
take a road trip with? A friend. He says, investing in content that creates the same feeling might just be the thing you need to build a deeper connection. And he's right. He referenced podcasts throughout his article in reference to that audio content. And I say this, really, any type of content would work for this, as long as you're consistent with it, whether it's audio or video. We turn to podcast consistently every week, and it kind of helps our viewers feel like they know us. Matter of fact, when we get calls or emails from podcast listeners, it's like I'm talking to a celebrity. Or I feel like I know you. Or I know how you're going to respond to this. I had somebody literally say five stars in our voice. And so that's because of our consistency, because they feel like they know us, even though I don't know them at all. It's kind of like he's recommending that you become a best and most trusted provider of SEO information. Exactly. Number three. Three. He says, use video replies to deeply connect one-on-one. Use video replies. And we'll get to that in a second. He says, instead of responding to at mentions in a standard tweet, or use Twitter's video feature. This is a great way to drive engagement and get your feet wet with video content. Look, this is the one reason we also video this podcast. It started off just audio, but let's bring video so you can get to know us better, get to know the personality better. We can have more engagement. And that's why we tried Periscope a few podcasts ago. That's why we'll try live streaming on Facebook probably next week is so we can continuously engage with video. Matter of fact, when new clients come on and they come through our process, we have a video that we send. Yeah. One of the very first thing we do is send a video from the owner, from me, that welcomes them to eWebResults. I actually give them my cell phone
number so it's personalized to them. It's a connection. Describing what's going to happen next. So, yeah, it's a connection. We use a software called iJot. They've got free versions that work well. They've got their freemium model where you can do free for a certain amount and if you want to do more. Yeah, I think it's a great tool and what that tool does is really let you create the video and send that video in the email. Yeah. I love the idea of anybody who kind of interacts with us on Twitter. We respond with video. Yeah, I know. I'm going to try that. Appreciate that too. Yeah. So, I might try that when we sit back down. So, we give pro tips. It feels like when we're receiving them, they should be called something, you know, orp. Oh, back with the pro. That's an orp trip tip that we're going to use. Orp pit. Orp pit that we're going to use. We'll figure out something for that. But keep sending it. That's a great tip. Okay. Number four. Four. He says, don't underestimate the power of consistency. Consistency. He says, publishing on a regular basis brings direct results that affect your company's bottom line. Look, at the end of the day, people look for consistency. People thrive on consistency. So, be consistent in your posting. Be consistent socially. Be consistent with the level of service you provide. Whatever it is, especially when it's content related, be consistent with it. Is it the 50 mile journey? 20 mile? It's the 20 mile march. 20 mile march. 20 mile march. Shout out to the people from good to great. What's the author's name? Jim Collins. Yeah. 20 mile march. You have to stay consistent. Yeah. Cool. Number five. He says, implement content in all aspects of business. He says, from your brand's tagline, the product descriptions, the brochures, the blog posts is all part of your overall content strategy. Keep it consistent. Look at that word again. On target and helpful in everything you do. Look, at the
end of the day, make sure all your content, regardless of where you're publishing at, whether it's graphics, whether it's video, whether it's on your site, whether it's a billboard or radio ad, wherever your content is, make sure it has the same look, the same feel, the same tone, the same point of view. You want all of your content to be the same. So what? People can have the same experience. So when they get that impression about you from the video, from the audio, and then they read your stuff, it's consistent with that impression that they have. Exactly. Number six. Six. He says, land more speaking engagements with video. Land more speaking engagements. Interesting. Yeah. And so this may not be for all of you guys. By the way, we are available for speaking engagements. You want us to come bring this show live to you? Yeah. Or you want me to come? Or you want Chris to come? You want us both to come? So we have like a double whammy because you have like the co-host of the most popular internet marketing podcast on iTunes. And then as a follow-up. The SEO rapper. It sounds bad, but as the lead, you've got the SEO rapper. So, you know. Yeah. We will bring it. Yeah. But this may not be for all you guys. Right. A lot of our listenership are like small businesses or service providers. Kind of like most of my friends that I probably don't need to watch their videos, their live streams. Exactly. Exactly. So a speaking engagement may not necessarily be what you're chasing. But the point he's making is he says, if you ever do public speaking, start capturing your talks on video. It's a great way to fill up your YouTube channel and use this video as a reel to land even better gigs. So maybe you're not looking for gigs, but maybe you are looking to be established as that expert. Yeah. And so those videos can do that for you. So if you're an AC company,
you start creating videos about when you go in, the AC is done wrong. Right. Create a video about why it's done wrong and how it needs to be done right and then do it right in that video. That begins to make you the expert on that, especially when you begin to rank for, I don't know, AC installed correctly or whatever the term is. But use video to help become that expert instead of maybe chasing speaking engagements. Absolutely. Number seven. Seven. He says, expand your brand as a podcast guest, right? He says, when you land an interview, go above and beyond the show's audience. I like to create a small exclusive giveaway for the giveaway to offer the listeners. So it may not be a podcast guest. It may be a radio interview or a guest blog post. It's all content is the point. Right. And so I would say he's right, though. When you do get that opportunity to be, just take full advantage of it. You want to leverage that person's, their crowd, their fan base. You know, one of the things I do, because, you know, I rap, right? Right. And so I've heard. I went and done a feature the other day and I go in on features. Right. And dude was like, man, Chuck, you always make me bring out my best when I feature you. Awesome. And I was like, dude, because I want all your fans to be like, who was that? Yeah. And so on all features, I'll probably spend more time writing than on my own projects. Makes sense. It's a feature. So so do the same. You get an opportunity to be share on someone else's platform and they already have a fan base and have stuff in place. Bring your a bring your game. Yeah. Let's see here. Number eight. Eight. He says a repurpose content to reach your audience on every medium. Right. So he says this, not everyone will read your blog posts, but they may watch a short video or a slideshow.
So I'll say this. Here's how you repurpose that. Here goes some pro tips for you. Take your blog posts, right? And use your subheadings as tweets. How about that? Yeah. Or maybe you take your featured image, put your blog post title on it, create a meme. By the way, pro tip in like subtle pro tip that Chuck just gave away is make sure your subtitles are tweet worthy. Exactly. Yeah. Exactly. So if it's tweet worthy, it probably has a small action in it, has a target phrase, it references the article. It's engaging. It's engaging. It's surprising. It's clickbait. Yeah. It's tap worthy. Yeah. Right. So consider that. Or here's another one. Do a video summary of your blog post and post that on Facebook with a link back to the post. Right. There are all kinds of ways you can repurpose your content. Even this podcast here. Yeah. We're actually becoming like kings of repurposing because we're continuing to repurpose and better and more engaging ways. So we do the podcast video on live on YouTube, YouTube stream. Then we actually are recording the audio at the same time. We used to actually strip out the audio. Now we're recording it for better quality. That goes up onto Podomatic, which is actually just our podcast hosting company. That gets feed. That's our feed. It's a Twitter and iTunes from there. Yeah. And then we transcribe the podcast. So that becomes blog posts. And actually we're about to start incorporating that into the YouTube transcript section, which hasn't been done yet. So we summarize it and it goes out in our newsletter. Yeah. Like, so this is six, seven different ways. The same piece of content has been repurposed. And then we usually cover an article in our podcast. So we're engaging with the author of that article. We're are. We will do interviews before the end of this year. This is like on our board. It's going to happen. So so that's going to be pretty exciting. I don't know if you're in Houston, like
to be interviewed. We can actually have you here. The other option is there's Skype. We can Skype you with the screen behind us. We'll do Skype. Get you involved. A hangout. Something like that. We'll figure it out. But just know that that's coming. But but repurpose the content is the point he's making. You can especially when you spend that time to create this content and do the research. Dude, you need to spread it out there as many different ways as you can. Yeah. Number nine. Nine. He says, create awareness through familiar branding. Right. So this is kind of like what I said earlier. He says, content isn't just words on the page. It's everything you publish, including written words, audio, video and graphics. And like I was saying earlier, make sure you have the same look, the same feel, the same tone, the same point of view across all those written words, audio, video and graphics. And so that way, regardless of where your target clients find you at, they had the same experience. Number 10. 10. He says, leverage partnerships with peers in other industries. It's a great tip. Leverage partnerships with peers in other industries. He says, things like webinars and case studies are great ways to cross promote content with another brand, like a host beneficiary or something like that. Or give an example. Right. So we had a client. And they specialize in lending hard money. Right. Right. And so they had. So, you know, hard money is the money that people who flip houses tend to use. They can't get traditional loans usually. Yeah. For a real estate investment property, you need a hard money loan typically. Bank won't give you a conventional loan for a fix and flip property. So with that being said, they specialize in hard money lending. They have a partner who's a property management company. And all they do is manage residential properties. Right. And then they also had a remodeling company who does, who specializes in remodeling residential properties. So three different companies, not
competitors, all relevant to each other. Right. They did a lunch and learn, invited a whole bunch of wannabe real estate investors and people who are interested in real estate and real estate agents. Killed it. Yeah. Had phenomenal success. Had a nice little spike in the stock. The spike almost went. It was a wave. Yeah. And so, and it worked because they could cross promote because they weren't stepping on each other's toes, but yet they still had a similar audience, a similar pool of people to pick from. So anytime you can leverage partners, take advantage, do it. You'll, you'll get better results. Absolutely. Number 11. 11. He says a display or unique messages based on behavior, display unique messages based on behavior. So this is more, uh, programmatical, right? Let's say, uh, he says drive engagement by delivering the right message just at the right time. You ever done a search on a national site and you know, it's national, but when you land, you say a local phone number. That's what this is. Or maybe you just came from Facebook and now you landed on my site and I know that. And so the page you land on references that Facebook post you were just looking at. And then you're like, ah, continuity, continuity, right? And so, so take advantage of that content, content being the key word in continuity. I think it is. And so, um, but you want to leverage that because it may not be thinking about that. Sounds like it. I probably need to see the word to convince myself. Content, annuity. Yeah. Yeah. We're going to, if it doesn't, I'm going to make it up. It's either that or it's some sort of loan that pays off over time, annuity. For your content. And so, uh, but, but when you, when you have the, the programmatic content success, then you can, then you can do that, right? It take advantage of it. If you had a skillset or if you have a program on board or the resources to, to
do that for your site, um, it, your conversions will likely go up because people see stuff that they're familiar with number 12, 12, he says, deliver content upgrades for each blog post. He says, sometimes you need to take your CTA a bit further by giving additional value. So remember on podcast three 16, we kind of talked about that a little bit where, where if you have great content, uh, then you should maybe use a CTA to get people access to more great content for a little bit of information, like an email signup or opt in or, or a text message subscription or something like that. So I'll say this, it may not be for each one of your blog posts, like he's recommending, but if you have a post that does get high engagement, that does have high quality, that people are commenting on, then definitely expand on that one. And, and maybe if you can, if you are that expert, then create a longer form or more in depth piece that supports that one and then give people the option to opt in to get access to it. Right. Just saying, if you have that type of content, number 13, 13, he says, find ways to entertain your audience, infotainment, right? Yeah. I think this kind of works. He says, uh, we live in a world that thrives on entertainment. If you can create content that makes your audience laugh, then you can skyrocket your growth in no time. So I added this, right? Cause again, a lot of times we deal with service providers, small businesses. If you're a plumber or an AC guy or electrician was funny, right? So I'll, I'll say this crack is whack. You can create funny posts from your service related issues. So maybe, maybe you create a comical post about a broken AC and what you had to do to fix it. Or, or maybe you describe a comical story about a root recent roof leak. You had to go repair. So I, so Skippy, so I,
in one of my networking groups, Skippy, this squirrel caused the roof leak because Skippy, the squirrel was chewing on the, the lead things on the top. So that's funny. Yeah. You can tell those stories and especially if you have the resources to create support video. Now people engage with their content. Now they don't even realize they're being sold. Yeah. Kind of like a Superbowl commercial, right? You lead a commercial laughing, but their brand is stuck in your head. When they're done, right? When they're done. Exactly. Number 14. 14. He says, answer common questions that arise. He says, create a series of in-depth blog posts and compiler links together on a mega resource page. That's a pro tip. He says, or use snippets from your blog posts to answer social media. He says, repurpose the FAQs onto a slideshow and put it on slideshare. He just gave three different ways you can answer common questions that arise. I think the point is, make the information available. Right. In multiple places. Make it easy to find. And I would add this to it. Poll your, your, your frontline people. Those who may be in the trenches, who are on the phone with your customers, your service technicians, who may be face to face with the customers, poll them for the common questions that they always get. And then you turn that in the web content, because if people are telling them face to face, they're likely looking for it on your site also, and definitely searching for it. Let's see here. Last one. Number 15. Number 15. He says, venture into new content marketing territory. He says, new content platforms pop up all the time. As a business owner, you got to jump into these and jump into these up and coming channels as quickly as possible. So, I don't know about it as quickly as possible. Yeah. Right. Definitely experiment with them if you had the time and the resources. But I would say, figure out which one works for you. What makes sense. What makes
sense. Because every, every platform may not be the best platform for you. They all have different pros and different cons. And depending on your industry, more importantly, depending on who your target demographic is, is really going to determine the platform you're using. I can tell you now, if both of your clients are baby boomers, they're like over the age of 45 and below the age of, and like they're there, Snapchat is not for you. Instagram is not for you. Twitter is not for you. Facebook is your bread and butter. Yep. Period. And that's commercial or residential. It doesn't matter. So, just understand where your demographic is and how to best engage with them. And then make sure you're posting on the platform that reaches them. Dude, Aaron Agwiz, punch in the face to you, man.
