E-commerce SEO requires exhaustive keyword research per product, strong on-page fundamentals, a regularly updated blog, authority links, and responding publicly to every customer review to build trust and rankings.
Addressing negative reviews in public, and when I say in public, I mean in a comment section or on a review section, actually has more value than sometimes than a positive review.
Join us on this week's podcast as we talk about Making Your Content Original, E-Commerce SEO Tips, and Creating Social Media Channels for SEO. We also discuss Search Engine Optimization Video in Houston Texas. The most popular Internet Marketing Podcast on iTunes. E-Webstyle provides Houston SEO .
According to the hosts, the best places are the cart page and the checkout page, because the shopper has already shown enough interest to add the product. A pop-up prompting a share right after adding to cart is also suggested, and offering a small discount for a like or review can further drive engagement.
The hosts advise against separate microsites. Instead, they recommend adding location-specific pages or subfolders on the existing site, linking from already-ranking pages to the new location pages, and incorporating the target city name into on-page content and titles before trying subdomains or separate sites.
The hosts say reviews have more value than links for e-commerce sites. A seller with several customer reviews is seen as more valuable to both users and Google than one with a single link from a relevant source. They recommend pursuing authority links but prioritizing the accumulation of genuine customer reviews.
Mobile searches for products surface local and Google database results first, often before standard web results. Being in Google Merchant ensures a product appears in those early results. The hosts also suggest Amazon and eBay stores so sellers compete in all venues where buyers are already searching, especially for niche or abstract products.
work out a really exhaustive keyword research report. I think this is key, especially with e-commerce sites, because e-commerce sites have so much coding and so many other nuances that you have to be really, really, have to really work on your keywords to make sure that you're targeting the right words for the right products.

Reviews, I believe, we believe, have more value than links. And I believe on an e-commerce site is a great place for that.

if you've got an e-commerce store, that means you're selling products, why not at least entertain the idea of having an eBay store, of having an Amazon store, like selling through Amazon, and making sure that your products are in Google Shop.
