Ask salespeople what objections they hear and ask customer service reps what people call about or complain about. If customers are calling about something, there is a high likelihood they are searching for that same information online, so covering those topics creates content that is inherently relevant and findable.
Promotion involves placing ads and links in various places to drive people back to your site. Distribution means housing the content off-site, such as uploading a presentation to SlideShare, posting video on YouTube, or summarizing a blog post on LinkedIn, and always including a link back to your source.
Measuring lets you identify which content type, channel, and format generated the most conversions, engagement, shares, and time on site. You then repeat what worked with a new target keyword or angle, and if something did not work, you try a different approach instead.
creating content and distributing it to an audience is not as easy as it sounds. In fact, it can be quite difficult as companies need to truly understand the audience preferences and online habits as well as content marketing, SEO, and social media best practices.
