An effective CTA uses a strong command verb, taps into the audience's emotional pain, includes a USP to differentiate from competitors, applies FOMO with limited-time language, and uses numbers or percentages. These principles apply whether traffic comes from paid ads, organic search, or social channels.
Yes. Running PPC alongside a top organic ranking adds a second position on the first page, which increases credibility and causes the organic link to get more clicks. It also creates an opportunity to test different ads, CTAs, and phone numbers against the organic traffic coming to your site.
Mobile users are often looking for instant gratification and are in a higher position to convert. CTAs for mobile should be more aggressive, use call extensions so users see a direct call button, and include action words like tap or swipe. Phone numbers on mobile pages should be linked with phone number tags for tap-to-call.
Go into Webmaster Tools and disavow those links. If the page is not valuable, consider changing the page name so the spammy links point to a dead page, or redirect the URL to preserve any link juice you want to keep. Also evaluate whether the traffic from those pages is generating any real business value.
Your call to action is part of your advertisement that tells your target audience what they should do when they click on your PPC ad and hit your website and or landing page.
