The leaked documents confirmed that click signals, dwell time, user behavior tracked through Chrome, sandboxing of new sites, and contextual anchor text all influence rankings. Google had previously denied several of these factors publicly, which is why the leak caused significant concern about trust in the industry.
According to the host, Google has repeatedly said dwell time is not a ranking factor, but the leaked documents and observed SEO results show it does have an effect. Google tracks how long users spend on pages through Chrome, and that behavior feeds into other ranking signals and scoring functions.
Sandboxing is an audition period where Google artificially holds back a new website from ranking regardless of the SEO work done. Google previously denied using a sandbox, but the leaked documents confirmed it exists. The host says clients typically need to invest four to six months before seeing ranking movement.
If someone repeatedly sends spammy links to your site and you do not disavow them, Google assumes you want those links and may penalize you. The host says two clients were attacked this way and recommends actively monitoring Search Console and disavowing harmful links to protect your site.
